En 1994, son remix house de Human Behaviour, premier single issu de l’album Debut, devient rapidement un succès dans les clubs du monde entier. David Morales propulse le titre en le jouant à chacun de ses sets notamment à New York.
The turning point for Dimitri was when NY DJ god David Morales fell in love with his remix of Bjork’s "Human Behaviour", and used to play it several times a night everywhere he would spin. And when you know how much Morales was/is in demand worldwide, you can imagine the exposure Mr. Dimitri got !

I used to have a lot of guests on the show’ recalls Dim, ‘and when David Morales came on I gave him a copy of the remix.’ I didn’t hear anything for months and then all of a sudden I was getting calls from people like Louie Vega looking for the record because they had heard Morales playing it. These people were my heroes and it was a great feeling to know that they were appreciating what I was doing.
