i am so thrilled to be finally bringing cornucopia to iceland in june
it now contains music from both utopia and my new album fossora
this is the largest show i have ever done
and cornucopia is amongst only few shows which have the most screens , curtains and digital drapes ever
i call this digital theatre
but unlike AI or VR this will be performed on an old fashionable analogue stage
( and not inside virtual reality glasses for example , just so i am super clear )
with choir , clarinets , flutes , percussion and several one of a kind bespoke instruments
these concerts will be very different from my live streamed concerts in harpa music hall 2021
where there were no additional visuals (a part from the handsome musicians of course)
cornucopia is kinda the total opposite of that ,
it shows the other side of my work , accumulative fruits of all the digital visual collaborations i have done through the years
from many digital animation teams like tobias gremmler , nick knight , andy huang , m/m and nick thornton jones and warren du preez
and many more
it was creative directed by me , james merry and lucrecia martel
when i mixed the sound for vulnicura VR in surround i became very excited about moving the VR world in surround sound
into our living world with oxygen and hairs and all
and realise it for stage as a digital "lanterna magica" idea
where the audience are participants surrounded by digital curtains
to bring all of this to iceland has been one of the most challenging thing i have asked my team to do
especially during and after covid
this is very important for me , also filming it with hamrahlíð choir in it´s full size and "home"
where we all feel we can make sure we are documenting cornucopia in it´s best form
hope you can come this summer and enjoy this with us
warmthness

La dernière fois que Björk a donné un concert au Laugardalshol (qui est une salle modulable pouvant accueillir entre 3 000 et 5 000 personnes), c’était pour le concert anniversaire des Sugarcubes.
