Artiste espagnole, Carlota Guerrero est née en 1989 à Barcelone. Elle s’initie à la photographie à l’adolescence. Elle est connue pour avoir photographié la pochette de l’album A seat at the table de Solange Knowles, sorti en 2016, et pour ses collaborations avec Rosalía, Arca (Couverture de KiCk i) ou encore Rupi Kaur. Elle travaille aussi pour la mode (Balmain, Dior, Givenchy, Mugler, Helmut Lang) et la presse (The New Yorker, Vogue, Pop Magazine).
Elle crée des compositions à la fois délicates et subversives, célébrant la puissance de la féminité. Elle a publié son premier livre Tengo un dragón dentro del corazón (J’ai un dragon dans le cœur) en 2021 chez Prestel.

I’ve been blessed being able to work with the voices of two of my biggest referents and inspirations. For this song, I thought of a video art piece exploring the discomfort of the cause they are fighting ; the cruel situation going on in Björk’s native country, Iceland. Delving into universal female rage as a motor for change, violence is explored through Bjork’s and Rosalia’s avatars. My own learning while creating this was clear ; they were not fighting each other ; they were training together to fight the real and bigger enemy.
