Performed in a concert called "Stop - Protect the Park" intended to bring attention to the need to conserve Icelandic nature.
On Tuesday this week, the artists Björk and Patti Smith alongside the film director Darren Aronofsky, and a representative from the Icelandic Environmental Union united at an event at Harpa Concert Hall called ‘Stopp – Gætum garðsins !’ (Stop - Protect the Park).
An impressive line-up of artists, including Björk and Patti Smith, performed in a concert intended to bring attention to the need to conserve Icelandic nature.
All the artists performing at the concert did so free of charge, but around 35 million ISK was collected from ticket sales. The proceeds will be donated to the Icelandic Environmental Union and a portion of it will be used to preserve the ‘heart of Iceland’, the central highlands.
