Hidden Place
I guess ’Hidden Place’ is sort of about how two people can create a paradise just by uniting. You’ve got an emotional location that’s mutual. And it’s unbreakable. And obviously it’s make-believe. So, you could argue that it doesn’t exist because it’s invisible, but of course it does. And it’s sort of a one-nil situation. Hidden Place
Premier clip de Vespertine, l’idée originale était destinée au clip de I’ve Seen It all, projet finalement annulé à cause de problèmes de droits avec la production du film Dancer in the Dark.
Then came the video, which was originally planned for a song from the "Dancer in the Dark" soundtrack. She was cherishing the project, but decided to postpone it a bit as she was writing new material she felt would fit even better with our initial ideas. It then became the video for "Hidden Place", the first single from "Vespertine".

Inez van Lamsweerde à propos du clip
“This was right after Volumen, and Björk knew we had never made a video in our lives,” van Lamsweerde says of the video created for the lead track of Björk’s fifth album, Vespertine. “She was like, ‘You know what ? This is my most special song. And I know you guys can visualize exactly what it is about. I think it’s a good step for you to move into video, and I’m here to support you in doing that.’ It’s amazing to work with Björk because she’s so trusting and so completely open, because she knows that there’s some kind of direct line through which we communicate. For us, that was a very touching moment.”
