Björk est en couverture du 200^e numéro de Dazed & Confused.

version HD Pour l’occasion, Björk a été invitée dans la conception de ce numéro. Rod Stanley l’a rencontrée dans sa maison à New York pour parler de Biophilia, mais aussi des scientifiques, designers, développeurs, musicologues et tous les artistes impliqués dans le projet.

Björk conteuse pour Visionaire n°59

Visionaire, l’album de Mode et d’Art multiformat (anciens numéros) qui consacre actuellement son édition n°58 à Alexander McQueen, se verra décliner pour sa prochaine édition sous forme de onze petits livres de contes originaux élaborés par des artistes dont Björk fait partie.

Le magazine Numéro précise :

« La 59ème édition de Visionaire regroupe onze petits livres de contes originaux élaborés par les artistes John Baldessari et Douglas Gordon, la musicienne Björk, les acteurs James Franco et Kirsten Dunst, ou encore les créateurs de mode Viktor & Rolf qui en ont imaginé, seuls ou en équipe, les textes et les images. Hologrammmes, phosphorence et autre effets surprenants sont de la partie. »

Visionaire n°59, limité à 4000 exemplaires, est prévu pour la fin novembre 2010.

Interview dans Harp magazine

Harp magazine publie une longue interview dans son numéro de Novembre 2007 :

« I am actually quite conservative about a lot of things. People only seem to see me as weird but there are a lot of things about me that have never changed. People also seem to notice the difference in my albums, that each one is totally different, which is only partly true. There are many connections on Volta to two points in my musical life : when I was in KUKL between 1982 and 1984, and the electronic years 1992-1994. Those are the two most cathartic music styles for me — the cacophonic energy of KUKL and the trance-like fuel of rave. Things go in circles like that. “Wanderlust,” for example, is a sort of continuity of “Hyperballad.” When Timbaland came up with the beat for “Earth Intruders” it reminded me of KUKL’s years. But I don’t think of it so much as being nostalgic. It’s sort of weaving in time. Life is just like that, nothing to do with me really. It is not like I have a choice. But I feel it is OK to have a couple of reference points like that from the past if its purpose is to catapult you into the future. You just have to add stuff to it. »

Björk reçoit un Mojo Award

Après avoir reçu un Q Inspiration Award en 2005, Björk a reçu le Mojo Inspiration Award lors de la cérémonie MOJO Honours List 2007 qui se déroulait à Londres hier soir. Elle était présente parmi d’autres invités comme Iggy Pop, Ozzy Osbourne et Amy Winehouse.
