being Icelandic

I still spend half my time in Iceland, so I’m still very Icelandic, but at the same time I think the world is getting really international - especially with the internet. It’s so fun to explore things from different parts of the world on the web. Like when I was doing this album I got really into different kinds of vocal music and I would go explore around the web for it. It didn’t matter where anybody was, and it’s so lovely that there’s a time in the world for trainspotters. You can just be a trainspotter and you’ll always find somebody on the web internationally who can be your team. The world is getting really international, and that’s a great thing., september 2004
